Magic duel of the planeswalkers app for mac. I start with a confession - I haven't been gaming at all in the last 10 or so years, but I used to enjoy games like Monkey Island, King's Quest, Grim Fandango, Zak McKracken, Diablo. I also lost a year of university to Ultima Online, so please don't suggest any online RPGs - I don't think my career could take it!;) I'm looking to find a great adventure/ mystery game or two, with pleasing graphics, not too much life action (I tried Heavy Rain on a friend's PS3 and it almost gave me a heart attack!!) to idle away the odd rainy evening. I would be very grateful for hints - there's so much out there, it's difficult to chose and as I missed most first parts I'm now not sure if things like Siberia 3 or Broken Sword 5 are the right place to start. Thanks in advance! Great time to come back into Adventure games Life is Strange - Almost finished with the Season. Involves a mystery in a Teen-Fiction setting, so the tone of the game may put you off. Presentation quality is stellar. No Hints, but the game is really easy. The Story is engaging with alot of nuance in how intertwined exposition is with the detailed locales. Best desktop printers for mac 2017. Vanishing of Ethan Carter - May not be your cup of tea. It's really off hands and it's easy to get lost or stuck. Has an awesome atmosphere and visuals. It also delivers a cool twist from your typical murder mystery Dream Machine: Not sure if this fits what you're looking for, but it's a really awesome and endearing concept. Episodes come very slowly. Kentucky Route Zero - Heard alot of awesome things about this game. It's not yet complete and episodes seem to be taking awhile to come. But I've heard it's still worth playing. Broken Age - From some of the original creators of Grim Fandango. It sticks closely to the classics which some people liked and disliked. Machinarium - Best Point/Click Adventure game in the last 10 years in my opinion. Has wonderful Art, music and characters that says alot without saying anything at all. There's no mystery here. But the puzzles are great and challenging. There's also hints to help. Book of Unwritten Tales 1/2 - I havent played them, but I've heard they're good Republique - Havent played this one, im waiting till this is all finished. I've heard mixed things about it Dreamfall: The Longest Journey - A little older, but still holds up. Great Story, worldbuilding, characters and atmosphere. The modern followup is underway as well. Memoria - Havent played this, but i've heard some good things about it, too Also, there's actually a new King's Quest series out that just started in episodic format. And Grim Fandango just got a remaster recently. Great suggestions, but here are a couple that are -very- mystery oriented: Contradiction - An FMV based game where you play a detective who interviews suspects and looks for inconsistencies in their stories to catch them in lies. Focused on the murder of a young woman. All the gameplay is standard adventure-style point and click as well as the interaction with people through the interviews. Her Story - Another FMV game in which you play an investigator sitting at their computer searching through archival footage of a series of interviews spanning four different dates about the possible murder of someone she knows. Gameplay takes place through listening to the video clips and entering search terms based on what you hear to find more clips with the goal of eventually figuring out who killed the man who was murdered.
